Have never seen the doctor except for the procedures of endoscopy and colonoscopy. Both were done without pain meds because of epilepsy meds and neither time was I informed until they were starting the procedure. A day and a half after my last appointment and although they keep saying they are calling them in, I still don't have prescriptions. His bedside manner doesn't exist. I was literally scolded for feces in my rectum. Where would he prefer it be? He's not pleasant, doesn't smile, and doesn't make eye contact. They say there is nothing wrong that they can find and are calling it IBS because it's a catch-all for what isn't obvious. Time to find a doctor that actually likes people with a staff that does their job and doesn't lie about it.
Dr. Makhdoom and his staff are the without doubt, the best in our area. I have been a patient of Dr. Makhdoom's for a few years and both he and his medical health professionals have been a godsend to me. Other GI medical experts in St. Louis and Chicago also know of and highly respect him as a clinician. When he has told me that he will do something, it has been done. In my experience, he is a very caring physician and goes above and beyond to help.
Have waited an hour an a half both times to see the doctor. Not coming back. Time to go somewhere else!
I can't brag enough about Dr. Makhdoom and the whole staff. Very friendly, make you feel like they actually care for you. Dr. Makhdoom even treats my wife as kind of a patient, talking to her and encouraging her on things concerning my treatment. He is a very positive and uplifting person , and I want to stay the course with my treatment, not only for my well-being- but I simply do not want to disappoint him. The facility is amazing- Very modern and comfortable. The staff are great in every way. Oh- and I about forgot- his bill for my EGD is less that half the cost of the other main Dr. in this area. No wonder the place is packed every time I see him.
Dr. Makhdoom and his staff are great. I haven't had any issues with their treatment. The only downside of them being so easy to work with and good at what they do, is that they are very busy, which can lead to wait times extended. I still recommend them.
