Our son was admitted to your facility in April with bacterial meningitis. We received excellent and efficient care that saved our sons life. Dr. Chipman made an accurate diagnosis and started IV fluids and antibiotics right away. I appreciated the care he received. When I arrived from my 3 hour drive, Dr. Chippman and staff explained the care and Ryan's condition. The ICU staff was outstanding and we felt we had very competent nurses that made us feel Ryan was in the best hands. Dr. Hornik was outstanding and I was fortunate he was the neurologist that took care of Ryan. Dr. Bobo, infectious disease, and Dr. Smaga, SIU family practice was attentive, informative, and I appreciated their expertise, communication, and care. Being in the healthcare field myself, I knew what to look for and was aware of evidence based practices and I saw high quality and safe care being delivered to my son in your facility. All the nurses, techs, assistance, and patient care departments was excellent. As my son as recovered almost 100%, I wanted to recognize your facility for the excellent care he received. We are very thankful!
New surgical wing was great, nursing staff dI'd awesome job. Wanda in the surgical waiting room made the day much easier, she was informative and pleasant.
The new surgery wing addition is very nice. I have outstanding care here. They saved both my husband and my lives, during our critical illnesses; Septic Shock, DBL. Brain bleeds and Pulmonary embolisms! I have always been greeted by friendly, helpful staff.
Recently came to the hospital to have my son who was a miscarriage. The staff were amazing an the amount of help an compassion we recieved throughout this terrible time in our life is more than we ever could have expected an were so thankful. So heres a big thank you to the nurses an staff that helped us in this hard time
Place is not cleaned well, sticky floors and footprints on walls and you have to ask the nurses to bathe your newborn child after they are snarky and rude asses about it and they don't even dress it when they're born and as soon as your checked out you're basically dead to them. Don't let the older reviews fool you, this place went from 4 stars to 1 do yourself a favor and deliver elsewhere.
