We went on the Friday before the eclipse. There was live music and a nice atmosphere. Not too crowded bit still enjoyable.
Pinch Penny is a good place to get a beer or mixed drink, and food (they offer a full menu with burgers and chicken options). They also have a nice tree-shaded beer garden with an outside bar and live music on the weekends.

Love the huge beer garden. Also had the game on the really BIG screen. Great place to meet up on a nice day.
One thing that I don't like is that they only allow one credit card tab per table. Everyone else at the table has to pay cash.
Never had a bad experience. Prices seem reasonable.
