Every time I've come in here I've experienced great customer service! The employees are always super friendly and nice!
I love their clothes. I find the price reasonable because they last a long time.
Store employee: his name is STORM, he has completely turned me away from this store, absolutely unprofessional and shows extreme lack of care for the customer. I want to preface this by saying I have been coming to this store since I was 13 years old with my parents. Back then all I wore was American Eagle: pants, shirts, shorts, socks, everything. Over time it became mostly pants, shorts and briefs but I have ALWAYS wore AE, particularly from this store. Over the last 10 plus years I have easily spent tens upon tens of thousands of dollars at this location. I buy every single pair of pants and shorts that I own from AE, period. As usual, about 3 days ago I went to the store and bought a pair of khaki chinos and a pair of black chinos in slim fit. A couple days later I wore the black pair to work and after a few hours I realized the slim fit weren't going to work and were very tight & uncomfortable. I went into the store THAT DAY and let the employee know and went back to work. The next day I brought both pairs in to EXCHANGE them for original straights and the employee denied it because I had wore them the day before even though they were in perfect condition with receipts. They looked as if you just took them right off the shelf, still brand new. After he denied it, I read the receipt and told him no where on it does it say that is the policy and he claimed it was his particular store policy. After he belittled me in front of other customers I said I would come back to talk to his manager and at first he tried to tell me he was the manager then corrected himself and gave me the actual store manager name. Knowing I was right in this instance I walked out of the store and called customer service. The rep was in disbelief and had me walk back in and put him on the phone on speaker. At this point he is literally shaking for some reason. She told him to explain his side and the second he got done speaking she explained how incorrect he was, told him to return the pants at once and basically to treat his customers better. You could tell she was ashamed he worked for AE. Kind of ironic since AE is promoting all of the love and kindness stuff when Storm showed the complete opposite. This was all on my lunch break and at this point I was frustrated with Storm's hateful attitude but very grateful for AE customer service. Going over the receipt with him I literally had to break it down and explain different sentences for him. I am in sales and customer service 50 hours a week myself and couldn't imagine treating the customer how he did me. Very low standards at this AE. They will hire ANYONE! I will continue to wear AE pants and briefs but will never step foot in that store again, which will inevitably lead to less of my business. He tried to belittle me and make up his own policies rather than take care of the customer. I expect better from store manager Jenny Provo (sp)... I am sure Storm is a friend to you Jenny but you either need to train better or choose better employees, you have a level of professionalism to withhold and friendships come second in this business. This isn't just a failure on Storm's part but yours as well. This will be sent to corporate, Facebook and several other sources as well.
