My experience at this location was so much better than their location in Herrin. The vet we see here is knowledgeable and makes sure to answer any questions we have. It's so refreshing to arrive at an appointment and be seen within five minutes instead of waiting for nearly a hour. Vet technicians are friendly and know what they're doing.
I’ve been bringing my dog to this specific location since I came to Carbondale with him. My cat has been brought here ever since she was about 6 weeks old. The doctors are always amazing and really look into every detail of what could be causing something. I’ve had other veterinarians that will not take the time to read over the patient’s history, but never here.

I love that they give pre-vet students the chance to work with them. I had Natalie help in the past and Cassidy helped earlier in the week. These students are on a great path and it’s all with the help of Central Hospital.
This was not my primary vet. My son got a hedgehog and they were the only vet in the area with exotic animals experience. They were always so very patient, understanding and caring. I have taken several animals here. They have always been great. My long time, much closer, primary vet that says they provide 24 hour emergency I have called on two different occasions to get my dog in on a Friday or Saturday. Twice they have said they couldn't and I'd have to wait until Monday. I can call Central Hospital; they say all appointments are full but I can come as a walk in! If I call there emergency line I know they'll call me back! I live over an hour away from any of their clinics. It is worth the drive to have a dependable caring vet!
I love them! They were there when my dog needed her shots, nails clipped, flea pill every month, and when she hurt her paw. I highly recommend them!
